ENVIRONMENTAL, NATURAL RESOURCES, LAND USE & PLANNING LAW

Our Environmental & Natural Resources Law Practice Group is a full service environmental team. Although all members of the practice group manage assignments in all areas of Environmental & Natural Resources Law, each member also concentrates in specific areas of this field of the Law. TCMR&S environmental attorneys are often at the cutting edge on all environmental & natural resources legal & regulatory issues affecting our clients in Puerto Rico. The practice group conducts and sponsor seminars every year, and is very active in the preparation of client alerts and memorandums on new developments and regulatory changes.

We believe that there are no real winners in litigation and formal conflicts with agencies and private parties, but when conflicts cannot be avoided, our attorneys have a track record of achieving favorable results using environmental negotiation, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and litigation techniques. We have also established a successful reputation for developing a practical and cost-effective approach to our client’s legal issues by always developing creative and practical solutions to fit their business & environmental compliance needs. Our team also works very closely with in-house counsels and is very attentive to compliance with external counsel guidelines and instructions.

TCMR&S takes pride in the fact that the practice group has become in-state consultant for various Lexis/Nexis / Mathew Bender publications, which shows the excellent reputation, knowledge and dedication of the members. TCMR&S is the author of the Puerto Rico Chapters of the following publications: (1) The Environmental Law Practice Guide, LEXIS, Puerto Rico Chapter 81 (Volume 8) (updated twice per year); and (2) Brownfields Law and Practice, The Cleanup and Redevelopment of Contaminated Land, Mathew Bender, PR Chapter (updated twice per year).
